Erode, July 29 :Cotton prices remained steady in Bhaoodapady and Anthiyur Regulated Markets during auctions over the past two days.
The auction was conducted at Bhoodapady on Wednesday and Thursday. Fine varieties of MC5 and Surabi were sold at Rs 3500 to Rs 3600 and Rs 3900 to Rs 4300 per quintal and Bt cotton at Rs 2900 to Rs 3500 per quintal.
In Anthiyur Regulated Market, Surabi was sold at Rs 3600 to Rs 4350 per quintal. The same price prevailed last week.
