Mumbai – A tepid demand at upper-level kept spot cotton trade steady in west India markets on Monday. Total arrival in the country stood at 20,000 bales.
In Gujarat S-6 cotton traded at Rs 28,900-29,400 per candy and V-797 cotton at Rs 21,700-22,000 per candy.
In Vidarbha, Maharashtra new cotton 28+MM was offered at Rs 27,800-28,500 a candy whereas 29+MM was quoted at Rs 28,800-29,200 per candy.
In Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh new 28+MM traded at Rs 27,800-28,500 a candy and 29+MM cotton was offered in the range of Rs 28,800-29,200 per candy.
