West India: cotton trades subdue on dull demand

Mumbai – A dull demand continued to weigh on spot cotton prices in major markets of west India Tuesday. Weather largely remained cloudy in the region. Total arrival in the country stood at 18,000 bales.

In Gujarat S-6 cotton traded at Rs 28,800-29,200 per candy and V-797 cotton at Rs 21,300-22,000 per candy.

In Vidarbha, Maharashtra new cotton 28+MM was offered at Rs 27,000-27,000 a candy whereas 29+MM was quoted at Rs 28,000-28,300 per candy.

In Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh new 28+MM traded at Rs 27,000-27,800 a candy and 29+MM cotton was offered in the range of Rs 28,000-28,300 per candy.
