Abohar – Cotton spot overall traded steady in various markets of north India on Friday. Demand in forward delivery was decent while it reported to be dull in ready delivery cotton.
Ready delivery cotton in Bhatinda market is placed at Rs 3,200- 3,220 per maund, in Budhlada at Rs 3,220- 3,240 in Mansa at Rs 3,150- 3,200 and in Muktsar at Rs 3,200- 3,220 per maund.
Prices at Sirsa and Fatehabad, Haryana were quoted at Rs 3,130- 3,180 per maund, in Rajasthan markets of Hanumangarh at Rs 3,090- 3,110 per maund and in Sriganganagar at Rs 2,980- 3,010 per maund.
In Punjab, November delivery cotton was quoted at Rs 2,950 a maund while in Haryana it was offered at Rs 2,890 per maund.
