Mumbai – Amid dull demand at higher level, cotton was quoted around previous price level in leading spot markets of west India on Friday. Total arrival in the country was 20,000 bales.
In Gujarat S-6 cotton traded at Rs 29,200-29,500 per candy and V-797 cotton at Rs 21,500-22,200 per candy.
In Vidarbha, Maharashtra new cotton 28+MM was offered at Rs 27,800-28,300 a candy whereas 29+MM was quoted at Rs 28,500-28,800 per candy.
In Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh new 28+MM traded at Rs 27,800-28,300 a candy and 29+MM cotton was offered in the range of Rs 28,500-28,800 per candy.
