Abohar – Cotton continued to trade steady to firm in various spot markets of north India on Wednesday. A decent millers’ demand supported the prices.
Ready delivery cotton in Bhatinda market is placed at Rs 3,210- 3,230 per maund, in Budhlada at Rs 3,230- 3,250 in Mansa at Rs 3,160- 3,200 and in Muktsar at Rs 3,210- 3,230 per maund.
Prices at Sirsa and Fatehabad, Haryana were quoted at Rs 3,130- 3,200 per maund, in Rajasthan markets of Hanumangarh at Rs 3,090- 3,120 per maund and in Sriganganagar at Rs 2,980- 3,020 per maund.
Forward delivery cotton is also trading brisk. In Punjab, November delivery cotton was quoted at Rs 2935- 2940 a maund while in Haryana, it was offered at Rs 2890 per maund.
