Abohar - Spot cotton further gained Rs 10-15 per maund in major spot markets of north India on Tuesday. Millers and exporters demand is still reported to be high.
Traders are of the opinion that if exporters demand continues to brisk up, prices may surge by Rs 500-1,000/ candy. Sources apprised that till now registration of 61 lakh bales are done while 42 lakh bales have undergone shipment.
Ready delivery cotton in Bhatinda market is placed at Rs 2,825- 2,845 per maund, in Budhlada at Rs 2,840- 2,860, in Mansa at Rs 2,790- 2,835 and in Muktsar at Rs 2,820- 2,840 per maund.
Prices at Sirsa and Fatehabad, Haryana were quoted at Rs 2,750- 2,800 per maund, in Rajasthan markets of Hanumangarh at Rs 2,745- 2,775 per maund and in Sriganganagar at Rs 2,670-2,700 per maund.
