To be offered by Backward Classes Welfare Department
TIRUCHI: The district administration has invited applications from eligible candidates from non-minority Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities for undergoing free vocational training programmes offered by the Backward Classes Welfare Department with government assistance.
The training programmes, which will be of 12 months duration, will be on garment manufacturing technology, textile designing and computer applications and shuttle-less weaving.
Six-month programme
This apart, a six-month programme on Ophthalmology Assistant will also be offered.
The minimum educational qualification for these courses will be a pass in Plus Two.
Those who have pass SSLC can undergo the three-month training on JCB Poclain Forklift Operator.
Applicants should not be aged above 32 and the annual income of their parents/guardians should be less than Rs.1 lakh.
Last date is March 8
Interested candidates can submit their applications along with copies of relevant certificates and a self-addressed envelope affixed with postal stamp for Rs.5 to the Office of the District Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare situated at the Collectorate on or before March 8, T. Soundiah, Collector, said in a press release.
