West India: cotton gains on reviving demand

Mumbai – Cotton continued to register gain as growing demand from mill supported the prices in spot markets of west India Tuesday. Prices climbed up Rs 100-200 per candy.

In Kadi, Gujarat S-6 cotton is sold at Rs 27,600-27,900 per candy and V-797 cotton at Rs 20,000-20,500 per candy.

In Vidarbha, Maharashtra new cotton 29+MM sold at Rs 26,500-26,700 per candy, 29+MM cotton in Marathwada and Khandesh at Rs 26,800-27,300 per candy. In Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh 29+MM cotton placed at Rs 26,800-27,300 per candy.

1 maund = 20 kgs
